Breast Cancer Surgeons

  • Sharon Lum, M.D. is a professor of surgery and the chair of the department of surgery at Loma Linda University. She also is the medical director of the Loma Linda University Breast Health Center. Dr. Lum is a graduate of Harvard College and Washington University School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Oregon Health and Science University, where she also completed an American Cancer Society Clinical Research Fellowship.
  • Halley Vora, M.D. is an assistant professor of surgery and breast surgeon. She serves as chairperson of the breast oncology tumor board. She received her medical degree from Temple University after which she completed her general surgery residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Vora completed Harvard’s combined breast surgical oncology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
  • Carlos Garberoglio, M.D. is a professor of surgery and the chief of surgical oncology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He is also a breast cancer surgeon and chief of surgical services at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Dr. Garberoglio received his medical degree from National University of Rosario in Argentina and is fellowship trained in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
  • Jukes Namm, M.D. is an associate professor of surgery, program director of the general surgery residency and director of clinical ethics at Loma Linda University Health. A breast cancer surgeon for the Breast Health Center, Dr. Namm graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his fellowship training in complex general surgical oncology at the University of Chicago.
  • Naveenraj Solomon, M.D., a breast cancer surgeon with Loma Linda University Health\'92s Breast Health Center, is an associate professor of surgery and vice chair of surgical administration for Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his fellowship training in surgical oncology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

Medical Oncologists

  • Hamid Mirshahidi, M.D., an associate professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, attended medical school in Turkey and went on to complete a fellowship in hematology/oncology at West Virginia University. Dr. Mirshahidi provides medical oncology treatment for breast cancer patients at the Breast Health Center.
  • Gayathri Nagaraj, M.D. is a medical oncologist at the Breast Health Center and associate professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Nagaraj graduated from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute and earned a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

Radiologists

  • Cherie Cora, M.D. is an assistant professor and board-certified radiologist who specializes in breast radiology. She graduated from Emory University School of Medicine. She completed her radiology residency at Loma Linda University.
  • Won-Chul Bae, M.D. is an assistant professor of radiology and the head of outpatient diagnostic radiology. He is a board-certified radiologist who completed his medical degree at Pusan National University.
  • Zubair Syed, M.D. is an assistant professor and board-certified radiologist who specializes in breast radiology. He received his medical degree from Ross University. He then completed his residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where he also completed a fellowship specializing in breast imaging.

Radiation Oncologists

  • David Bush, M.D. is a board-certified radiation oncologist for the Breast Health Center, graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in radiation oncology at Loma Linda University Health.
  • Jessica Jutzy, M.D. is a board-certified radiation oncologist and assistant professor at Loma Linda University. She graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine earning both an M.D. and a PhD in biochemistry. Dr. Jutzy then completed a transitional intern year at AMITA St. Francis in Chicago, followed by radiation oncology residency at University of Chicago.
